Terms of Service

Write whatever you like. Your writing is yours, we do not sell your data, and you can export or delete everything at any time. Pro is a recurring subscription you can cancel whenever you want, and you keep it until the period you already paid for runs out.

You can write without an account. Signing up creates an account tied to your email address, which lets your work sync across devices and gives you a way to recover it.

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
• One person per account. Do not share credentials.
• Give us an email address you actually control — account recovery depends on it.

You keep all rights to everything you write. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to publish, republish, or train anything on it.

We store and transmit your writing only to provide the service to you: saving it, syncing it between your devices, showing it back to you, and backing it up so it survives a failure.

The free plan lets you write without limit, keeps up to three documents, and does not include session history or writing stats. Pro removes the document limit and unlocks history and stats. Your sessions and daily activity are recorded either way — Pro is what lets you view them.

• Pro is billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time; Pro remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not billed again.
• If a payment fails, we keep Pro active while your card issuer and Stripe retry. If it ultimately fails, the account returns to the free plan.
• Cancelling does not delete anything. Documents beyond the free limit stay in your account and remain readable; you simply cannot create new ones past the limit.
• Prices can change, but never for a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a change affects you.

If timetowrite did not work as described, or you were charged in a way you did not expect, email support@timetowrite.app and we will sort it out. We would rather refund someone who is unhappy than keep money from them.

• Do not use the service to break the law, or to store content you have no right to store.
• Do not try to break, overload, or circumvent the service, including its rate limits and plan limits.
• Do not resell or redistribute the service as your own.

If an account is doing serious harm — attacking the service, or using it for something clearly illegal — we may suspend it. Where we reasonably can, we will contact you first and give you a chance to export your writing.

You can delete your account at any time from the account page. That removes your documents, session history, stored text, and settings, and cancels any active subscription. It cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy.

We work hard to keep your writing safe and the service running, but it is provided as is, without warranties. We cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export tool exists for exactly this.

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email. Continuing to use timetowrite after a change means you accept the updated terms.
